Russian–Icelandic Friendship Society “ODRI” and the Society for Cultural Relations with Russia “MIR” invite you to attend events within “Days of Russia in Iceland”.

The program includes:
October 11, Saturday. 16-00. (Tjarnargata 11, Reykjavik City Hall) Opening of “Poetic Russia in Photographs”.
Invited to the opening ceremony are the Mayor of Reykjavik, Russian Ambassador to Iceland, Chairman of the Society MIR, Director of ODRI and other distinguished guests. Gathered to hear poems by Russian poets in Russian and Icelandic languages. Refreshments courtesy of the Embassy of the Russian Federation.

October 12, Sunday. 12-00. (Hverfisgata 105, Society “MIR”). Poetry reading: reading poems in Russian and Icelandic languages, tea. Russian school children involved with the community “MIR” and University students studying Russian.

October 13, Monday. 18-00. (Hverfisgata 105, Society “MIR”).  Creative evening (master-class) by director, cameraman and photographer Boris Amarov “Russian Arctic — the life line.” Demonstration of documentary films “Cape Desire”. “Taste of Honey” and “Stepanida. The blessing of the White Shaman”.

October 14, Tuesday. 18-00. (Hverfisgata 105, Society “MIR”). Master-class by photographer Vladimir Soshnikov “Man and the landscape. Fragments photo expedition to Russia”.

October 15, Wednesday. 12-00. (Tjarnargata 11, Reykjavik City Hall). Closure of the photo exhibition “Poetic Russia in Photographs”. Transfer of photographs to the Society “MIR”, University of Iceland and the Russian Embassy in Iceland.
